    Eugene, Oregon Monster Fest/3DBASH August 21st-23rd 2015!!

I've gotta little bit of everything (jack of all trades and master of none)...I have some sweet fpv mini quads that I'm sure a lot of the guys might be willing to try - an s900 with a gh3 on it for some really nice filming and the 3d aerobatic planes (nothing huge but fine for my level)...just...

Aerobeez 2015 EPP Lineup is now HERE!

Sweet...love the 5X" size...perfect for practicing and allows for some higher winds which I have a lot of where I currently fly (nothing outlandish but often times too much for the flat foamies).

    Eugene, Oregon Monster Fest/3DBASH August 21st-23rd 2015!!

I'm excited about this one - after missing out on last year due to a last minute issue...I may actually be able to attend this year...may or may not be able to fly though...just depends on timing.

    3D Hobby Shop 47" Extra 300shp

Mike - if only it was that quick...we had our third little one and this build took almost an entire week - 2 hrs. a night after midnight is a bit unproductive...but wish I could build a whole plane in 20 seconds...more time to throw down...LOL

    3D Hobby Shop 47" Extra 300shp

http://youtu.be/4Vwx4vJoD6g Here's a link to a recent build for this plane...the camera ran out of batteries here and there but I'll try this again with the 57" and post it up in that thread...

    72" Extra 330SC

Since this is just at the startup I'm wondering if it's a thermal expansion issue (maybe in the bearing or a couple of the magnets)...once the motor gets warm and the bell expands then it eliminates the noise - wonder if 2 of the magnets might just barely be rubbing...or the motor bearings are a...

    Twisted Hobbys Owner's Thread!!

Awesome. I still need to pull the trigger on this one. I've even seen it on floats :)

    Twisted Hobbys Owner's Thread!!

I've always used a bit of hot glue or RTV at the connection - this really saves on wear and tear at the motor to wire connection - not sure what you'd do at the esc connection. Maybe some rtv or hot glue as well.

Ok I finally got around to opening the package and comparing the LG from graphtechrc to the original. Here's what I found. 1. The graphtechrc LGs dimensions are not quite the same as the stock units (although I measures them and sent them autocad files). 2. The dimensions are in our favor...

Eugene Oregon 3D Bash & Monster Fest

Thanks Mike...I was really looking forward to it - was planning on bringing up the whole family and make a cool little trip out of it...but for sure next year {it's already on my calendar right next to Joe Nall ;) } Will have to live vicarously through the posted pics and videos this time around.

Eugene Oregon 3D Bash & Monster Fest

Well I'm totally bummed...on one hand I'm glad that our house just sold, but the bad part is that I won't be able to make it to this awesome event and even worse, I won't be able to help out pete and his crew. Looks like we are going to be stuck packing and/or moving right smack dab in the...

    72" Extra 330SC

Well I finally ordered the 72" replacement gear from graphtechrc.com - hopefully I'll be able to tell you guys how it compares to the stock piece...it just shipped today so I'm guessing it'll be a day or two. I'll post up some comparison pics if anyone is interested...anyhow, I'm interested to...

    72" Extra 330SC

I'm with you - I chose to run a suspect motor with a crap friction prop adapter and sure enough I threw it off a minute into my maiden flight. We all do dumb crap - it's all part of flying. The trick is to learn from our mistakes (maybe even from others' as well). I'm not even going to post what...

    72" Extra 330SC

Yes that looks like the correct gear - don't throw your old ones away as I'm thinking you might have to use it as a drilling guide. Yup a little more expensive but worth the few bucks to have my bird in the air for the few weeks or months it takes 3dhs to restock.

    57 SC Discussion

Glad you were able to price it back together again - I accidentally bought monocote from the LHS but the colors matched almost perfectly. I learned after the fact that ultra coat was actually used originally - I know the blue is called "blue pearl" but not sure of the yellow (probably just the...

    72" Extra 330SC

Yes the product molds have been completed and posted to their web store. I've been out if town for a few days but before I left Mike said that it'll be about a week before he will have a decent amount of stock but you can back order them and they will ship as soon as he's done with them...

    72" Extra 330SC

If it were me, if just re-use the hinge holes and use epoxy on the new hinges to fill any gap in the actual holes (be careful not to get any epoxy in the hinge itself). I would try to use the original locations as most likely they were placed in areas that relieve stress on the wing innards...
