Btw...I did shave off about 2mm of the M5x16mm muffler bolts after a test fit with the full length ones seemed to show the bolts were hitting the end of the thread hole. After cutting off 2mm the bolts seemed to snug up better.

Blake, the Airtronics rx will go on the side or ill make a tray behind the wing tube. Batteries will go on either side right behind the firewall.

Mike have you fit your cowl.. Gary @ gyro carb on his gp61 was alot closer to the firewall.. I think yours might be out to far

yes, mine will be out about 1/8-1/4" further from the firewall than Gary's...but I'm ok with that.

1) give me a bit more forward CG, easier to move other stuff around
2) I don't need or want a 1/16" spinner gap...I'm okay with a little more.
3) It's already tight enough working between the carb and the firewall...half that distance would make it even more difficult.

Even Savox on the throttle, wow! going to be a Bad Boy indeed.

It was either a Savox or a cheapie Solar that I have laying around...decided I didn't want to trust the throttle to a cheapie that starts fluttering after less than 20 flights so I went with the Savox.

most of the internals are installed: (includes RX, WrongWayRC fuel tank, dual lipos, and opto-kill)

Ignition mounted with a cool ignition mounting plate that is supposed to reduce vibration.
Also, exterior view of opto kill LED.

FYI, regarding the spinner gap and firewall...I discovered after installing the pitts muffler that I cannot move the engine back any farther...shorter standoffs would have really messed me up...the pitts muffler is right up against the bottom of the motor box already....I had to shave 1/4" off the bottom of the motor box in order for it to fit with these standoffs...there is no room left to remove anything else, otherwise I would be removing part of the bottom of the firewall!

Looking good for a maiden this weekend!
