My participation here at GSN - Here we go...

I think the donation link is a great idea, special contributors-only swag not so much. I think if it was promoted a little more heavily, many members would buy GSN-themed merchandise knowing the margins go to supporting the site (I'd love to buy some decals, for instance). Many will also make a...

    De-fueling

Ok, I feel pretty stupid. The switch is double - throw, "fill - drain" and described on the one - Page user's guide. In the computer biz we would say RTFM. Good thing were among friends here or I'm sure someone would take the easy shot at me.

    3D H9 1/3 Cap 232 - Blast from the past!!!

Good looking Cap. Where did you get that pilot figure? Did he come with the ARF?

    3D CAP 232-ST design / build / prototype

I'm surprised we don't see more models of Leo Laudenslager's Shark, the successor to his Laser with full - flying stabs and a large sub-fin. That would be something really different. I think Baron Johnson flew one in the IMAC Nats about 10 years ago.

    De-fueling

So, how do you de-fuel with a Jersey Modeler electric pump fuel can? I just got a new one and I kinda wish I had thought to ask this first.

    FASST and FASSTest

    Ok, thanks. Very useful chart.

    FASST and FASSTest

What's the diff? Compatible? Futaba site just says, "it's better".

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Mounted the cowl on my EF 88 Edge. She is all done but setting up the radio, drilling the props, testing CG, and putting on the graphics. Maiden is getting close!

Scale 50cc Scratch Build From My Own Design Revisited

I've had three Tipo 750's, and was pretty serious about pattern once. I flew them with a piped 60, great flying plane at 7lbs. If I was going to do another one, I think I'd try electric. Both of these ought to be fun. Please post pix when they're done.

    Secraft Wire Tensioners

Ok, I'll give them a try.

    Secraft Wire Tensioners

Not trying to start a brand war, but I just put the SWB tensioners in my EF 88 Edge. They worked great, definitely makes the P-P set up easier.

    3D 50% cap 232

Wow. I like that Cap a lot. You called it a custom? One-off? Impressive.

3D to iBEc or not to iBEc that is my question

Ok, thanks. I just wired up an iBEC in my new Edge this week-end, but haven't fired it up yet. Was afraid I had missed the point somewhere.

3D to iBEc or not to iBEc that is my question

I'm not sure I get it. Do you mean some way to kill ignition power other than with the IBEC? Isn't that the purpose of the control signal from the rx to the IBEC?

    Another covering question

Thanks, I'll try to improve my technique. Usually the tightening job only lasts for a couple flying days. My current planes are both UltraCote but I've got a Pitts on the bench that I've built from a kit but not yet covered; I think I'll try ColorTex fabric this time. I did a fabric - covered...

    Another covering question

When you're "tightening" the covering of either a new ARF or one you've been flying for a while... How hot do you set the iron? Any specific degrees?

    Just putting this out there

Great thread. LMAO. I would definitely buy a calendar of members planes. Girls, too, but I appreciate Bart's concern. What a great site. It's more and more fun all the time.

    I use Dubro ball joints.

    3D 50% cap 232

Outstanding! I'm watching. Glad to see more and more interest in Caps again. One of my favorites. G&L is in my neck of the woods and I've seen several of Gregg's 50% er's in the air.

    throttle servo question/problem

+1 on the Nyrods, but I've never had any problems with 2-56 fittings.
