When you are pushing equipment to the limit, you are going to have an issue now and then! We've all been there, no need to be embarrassed! I smashed up a plane a few weeks ago doing a high G move, pulled the clunk line off in the tank. Not a big deal unless you are at 20' with zero airspeed! Got to do the walk while the peanut gallery shared their "see, told you it was dangerous" and "that's what he gets, that's not scale"! Coming from the guy who crashed his Cub into the pit fence 3 times in 10 minutes trying to take off. Shortly after my mishap, he tried hand-launching it and pile-drove it into the ground at full throttle. Wish I had their skill and expertise!

Damn I'm hungry
Thanks guys! Lots of memories, but don't miss moving all the time and being away from home 6-9 months out of the year! I could get used to staying in one place and focusing on having fun!

I hated all the moving too. I had a Med cruise lasted 11 months Twice!! The worst cruise I did was USS Forrestal Med 83.
We stayed at sea for 6 straight months. We actually got to drink 2 beers each for steel deck picnic!:woohoo!:
It was only 3.2 but got a little buzz anyway. Like the Others......Thank you for serving.

8 moves in 22 years, shortest move was 1000 miles. Moved from Alaska to Virginia and back twice. Like I said, lots of good memories, some not so good, but I don't miss it. Coming up on my three year anniversary from retiring, not feeling any itch to move though!

Me neither. Been in the same spot the last 24 years since service.

"Cool Guy"
@ChickenBalls @emtp275 Man I am jealous! Between work, home repairs/maintenance and family (family thing is ok though:)) I have not been able to fly any. Hoping Saturday to get some time to tune up a little for Nall! I think I know your pattern guy. Same guy who was insisting that only one of the officers should have access to our web site password so we can get in the same situation we are in today.:confused:You know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result!:p
Yes sir that be the one, you know the one, that does absolutely nothing other than pay his $50 dues, no mowing, no work days, even had the balls to ask one of the volunteers if he could mow on a day when he wasn't going to fly, because they were mowing when he arrived. You know how that went over, I explained to him only thing he should say to the mowers was THANK YOU, with out you guys, my dues would be $350-$400 a year. I would have gotten off mower, handed him the keys, and said mow at your convenience, just make sure it's done each week. Things that make ya wanna poke someone in the EYE:lol2: HE was on a roll yesterday, as I was cleaning up for lunch, he went out/stand behind and watch TOny fly, and I hung around waiting to see if he said anything to him, because I knew what would have happened, and I didn't want to MISS it:roflmao: He just shook his head and walked away. I'm not sure exactly what's up with him, may be as @stangflyer said he needs some Midol. I'm just gonna go back to my timeout corner, where @mulehead1969 banished me, and wait with my bad/sorry attitude:laughing:He'll have a stroke if he comes out Sat. with P-huck there, hehehe bwahhhhhhh

Did someone say,,, Steel Beach Day and Beer Day is coming up? Nothing like a good'ol fashion BBQ up on the flight deck and watching footballs going over the side after a bad throw :) Subic Bay and Thailand were the best Liberty Ports back then,,, :)
