Your proceeding quite nicely even though a "Mechanical Engineer" designed that kit. And you know them "Mechanical Engineer's"....Always trying to "kill two birds with one stone" :face-palm:.

Not touching that one but you are correct that is all I am going to say.

A good friend of mine was a mechanic and I’m an engineer. He and I traded jabs all the time!
Unfortunately, another one lost entirely too early in life.

Hate to admit it so very true at times. Trust me my dad made quite sure I new at times because he was a car mechanic as well. So yes I can use my hands as well.
Like the T-shirts will send a copy to my one daughter.

Still working on the rudder just have to cut the bevels and glue them on glad I made the small change it has made building the rudder a lot easier but the penalty is that they will be a little heavier, I can live with that I may regret it when I am trying to balance the plane later on. Been looking around but could find any articles on the plane stating if it builds nose heavy or light, so we will find out later.

That's all right. A little bit of tail heavy is okay. Makes it easier to do 3D Maneuvers. LOL

Got the two bevels cut and sanded now all that needs to be done is center them properly and glue them in a little sanding on the edges and then they can put to one side. Job for after lunch.
The maximum I could cut from the remaining balsa wood without losing the edge is a total of 60 degrees so that will have to do.

Well the bevels are glued and sanded down and done as far it needs to be. All that needs to be done is hinged and covered. O’ yes glued into the fuselage.
Next are the wings, read the manual and see how it is put together.

Some of the not so enjoyable part of building is edge gluing sheeting in particular when they are badly warped. Little bit of edge cutting and then a couple of hours edge sanding until there are no gaps. Most of it is done one edge is glued so an hour from now we can bo the next edge and so on until al 6 edges are glued.
