There is a thread on swag where sleepy posted a file you can use, just go to the site ad create your own for now, super simple. For stickers check out Nachos Cheese or sounds like Decal Dennis has some. B&E is on here now not sure if he's hooked up or now. Nick from Nacho's designed the logo though.

Getting close to wrapped up now, looking better and better every time something goes on it. I've really gotten attached to the looks of this thing, it's not a Yak 54 (blah), it's not a Yak 55.....the Sukhoi has lines that just flow nicely. Plus, the round cowl is not "BAM" in your face and takes over the whole look of the thing. Will be nice to have something different that you don't see every day.

So I started with the hardware for the surfaces. As per manual install the rods and thread lock the tapered fasteners. I also recommend putting a little thread lock on the screw that holds the clevis together. I've never lost one, but better safe than sorry. This hardware lasts for hundreds of flights and if it does get a little sloppy over time, typically it's just the threads on the bolt.....replace that and you're back in business.

For pull pull setups, of course double loop through the keeper, but I like to use a pliers like the ones shown. Crimp at a 45* angle and it putts angled crimps in the little crush sleeve. Never had one come loose yet.

Couple more small assembly tips. We all know that wing bolts wear out, with some brands they just are plain crap out of the box. The ones provided with this kit are good quality but access to turn the bolts is limited. What I do is order these "glass filled nylon" bolts form McMasters, along with standard nylon washers. The glass filled is just that, fiberglass stands in the nylon. They are socket headed and the threads are sharp like a metal bolt. As a matter of fact 90% of the time I toss them because the head wore out and the threads are fine.

For the tiller springs I like to use a little fishing tackle......swivels work great and are easy to install / uninstall if needed. I roll up the ends of the factory spring and put a little heat shrink to keep them from grabbing the grass. K.I.S.S. at it's best.

Next up was the wheels finally since I'm about done and it won't roll of my table now. No Limitz spinner from PAU, I used the 4" Ultimate spinner and think it looks perfect. Right now I have a 23x8W Falcon on there which I know is too small for the engine. I'll order up a 24x9 so it's here when I get back from the Huckfest. we are going up 1600 feet or so in elevation from where I'm at so this prop will be just fine for the weekend.

As advertised, looking really scale and the CG is coming out pretty good. I could have used the heavier spinner but this one is perfect for the look. I'm going to have dual A123 packs on top of the engine box and it will balance at 6.75" from the LE. Looks like final weight is going to come out at 17lb. +/- an ounce or two. This prop should pull 35+ lb. of thrust so this is going to be exciting!!!

Nice touch with the tiller springs. Love the graphics and the swag. The Blacked out cowl front sets it off also.

OK so if I just say "NICE" will that cover it all?:biggrin-new:
