The blog and forum formats are completely different. The last blog article I converted took about two hours, which I don't have right now. I'll get to it, but for now just click the link.

Can't wait to see the big yak! I wish they would have used the new russian thunder scheme from the contest on the 48... the other color scheme is a extremely close to the 3dhs edge... looking forward to more flight reports..

I got off work last night around 10PM, hurried home, and knocked out the build on my 48'' Yak :D

Maiden should be tomorrow. Got to get some sleep though! :megaroll:

I envy your ability to knock out a build on one sitting! Looking forward to your video!

Thanks! It was a pretty easy build, i just watched random videos on youtube while i did it and it flew by
No time to sleep mate you've got flight vids to shoot ;)

Hehehe I wish i could have got video today but i'm having trouble with my servos. I had a Savox 0255 on the elevator that wasn't centering but i switched it out for a HS65MG and now i'm getting blowback. I think the best choice is going to be a HS85 on the elevator if you want to have a lot of throw. After putting the 65MG in the precision improved dramatically since i wasn't fighting the servo the whole time. The Yak flies insanely clean lines, i'm loving it. Hopefully i can get a video soon but i want to get rid of the blowback on the elevator first.

Got a little sketchy on the first flight today :) I hit the wrong direction on the rudder coming out of the hover and almost planted it in the dirt! No damage at all on the plane

As you can see take off and landings were a little hairy where i was flying. I had a crosswind coming toward me and the runway isn't too forgiving.

I'm loving the Yak. It loves to be flown fast!
