The weight specs on the 35 come out less than the 30. I would love to see a forum member publish a comparison to confirm the weights of each. That being said... people get the velocity to balance with a DLE 30 so I dont think you will have too bad of a problem.

Agree to disagree on several points... none of which have to do with whether or not a 6s pack will work just fine ;) One thing I have learned in life is that perception is not reality and I am humbled everyday at work when I find out I'm wrong about something. Please don't take my arguments as...

There is nothing wrong with running 6s. I don't think anyone is attacking it... it is well documented that 6s packs will work fine. The only point being made here is that the higher voltage systems are more efficient and don't have to add weight. Since there are so many numbers flying around...

At the end of the day it is his money and how he decides to spend it is up to him and the "right" way to do it is the way he enjoys doing it. I am just going to offer a little rebuttal as far as my opinion on the subject goes in response to your assertions. I don't want any heated conflict or...

You can do it without much of a weight hit. Because you are running more cells you can also run lower Mah for the same flight time.

My guess is something like this... A higher cell count more means better efficiency since you dont have to draw as many amps to get the same power. This means less heat as well since batteries are not pushed to their limits. Less energy lost to heat and components may last longer.

Mike we recently updated the event info on the first page. You can now make camping arrangements at the nearby Temple View RV Park if you don't want to spring for a motel. Give them a call to reserve your campsite!
