    Ordered my Su-26

Thanks Chris and Smitty. I was really stoked to get the plane in the air Friday. That news really knocked the wind out of my sails. 61 years old and a massive heart attack. That really hits close to home. RGM

    Ordered my Su-26

Thanks! Unfortunately right after my post yesterday about the maiden I was informed of the passing of the wife of a very near and dear friend. The maiden will have to wait.

I hope so I've just about worn out my Aeroworks GT and need to move up into something better that I can handle!

    Ordered my Su-26

 I was able to take my Sukhoi out to the field today. One of our unlimited pilots did a pre-flight inspection and passed it with few minor tweaks recommended. It's nice to have another pair of eyes look over my assembly. After about 5 flips with the choke on she popped and a few more...

IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

Well I answered my own question. Bigger screen doesn't help. On my Samsung 65" LCD the same thing happens. When I have keep ground in sight turned on the airplane almost vanishes at the top of up-lines, loops, etc. If I can't see the horizon I lose track of direction/drift and get disoriented...

8 inches of the white stuff yesterday. I'm glad my shop is heated so I can finish up the PAU Sukhoi.

I agree nothing is better than real flying. We're grounded here for the next 10 days except for snow flying. I thought I'd give the sim a try. Perhaps on a bigger screen? Thanks for all the feedback!

IMAC practice tips for new pilots.

I have a question. Does anybody use a simulator to practice in bad weather? I bought Phoenix and it's ok. I get disoriented because I can't see the ground during the up line turn-arounds etc. If I turn on keep the ground in sight, the plane gets really small really fast. Kind of frustrating.
