Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Wing panels are done but haven't been glued together yet. Been trying to make some progress on the other Citabria I'm working on......a rebuild of the wings on a full scale 7ECA Citabria, a little bigger than a Cub, a little better performance than a Cub, and capable of basic acro. You can see...

sure, there are some great restored Cubs out there but there are plenty that have been flown a lot and your gear being banged into place makes them look a lot more scale! Nice!

Got this nice old gal back in flying condition. Engine was serviced with new bearings by YS service guru Rich Verano, swapped out a few sloppy servos, installed a freshly made A123 1100mah 2S pack from taildraggerrc.com, and gave it a good cleaning so it can continue to make daddy smile with...

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Luckily for me, I have a second kit to compare everything to. I could have picked either kit so I decided to build the one that looked more disorganized leaving the better kit to be sold later. The parts in the unbuilt kit look perfect compared to the parts I'm using. I just can't understand...

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

whoever it was that sold me this kit either screwed me pretty badly or it was made like crap....no, not crap, worse than crap! I'm not sure if Bud Nosen Models gave A&A a bad name or if it was A&A that ruined Bud Nosen's good reputation. There's no way to tell what the year of manufacture of...

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Fuselage progress continues, it's done being pinned to the bench and now we add the bits and pieces that will give it that funky Citabria outline. I may stop working on the fuselage to get the wings going. It isn't likely the wings will be built to the plans. More likely is a clipped wing...

Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Thanks Snoop', I cut them with a hand saw and then sand them to fit using a Craftsman 6" disc sander. If I'm lucky they fit as cut and there's no sanding but that's rare. Spent some time this evening getting the first couple of pieces of the fuselage sides laid out and glued into place. Had...
