    Just ordered from Sig, their pricing was a lot less than National, fwiw, and since I saved so much on the one piece I needed I ordered two extra sheets for the Super Kaos scratch build I'll eventually get to. :yesss:

    Who would you order from for some light weight balsa? The pre-shaped parts for the elevators are really badly formed and heavy. I'd like to redo them with some lighter material. Balsa USA? Bud Nosen Models? or someone else? These were designed for .60 to .90 nitro engines and I'm planning...

    Thanks Snoop. It would be neat to make a custom exhaust to direct it out of scale stacks. I can weld, don't know if I can shape metal to make that work though. Need an engine first! Does it seem wacky to anyone to put a German 3W engine in a P-51?

    It's a pipe dream at the moment but I bought the Jerry Bates plans for a 1/4 scale P-51 B/C, 112" wingspan. Sounds crazy, it is crazy, but it's a bucket list item so I might as well get it taken care of. Was going to fly novice category with it. :)

    This is how far I got yesterday before calling it quits. In this photo you can see an example of a piece that was supplied with the kit over the replacement piece I had to make. It's possible a previous owner messed up some of the parts, I don't know. There is a part number stamped on it...
