Yes you can run direct, run whatever capacity you need and try TaildraggerRC. As far as your charger goes as long as it can be set to 3.3v per cell you should be fine.- GaryToland

Your Opinion-This is not a "Which radio is best" thread!!!
Being that I'm a Futaba guy I would suggest that system as they have a lot of history in RC, but I have read people having the same issues with their A9, and the switch to the 9X has solved their problems.
