    The GoPro head mount is $389 cheaper and does the same thing. I have been trying to talk myself into getting a GoPro and finally bought one. But personally I couldn't justify purchasing this.

    Absolutely it's worth it, people can tell you what works for them but it may not be quite what you're looking for. Small diameter, more pitch.

    Wouldn't attaching the adhesive mount to the monocote/ultracote stretch it any, or even break or tear the film? I guess the use of the lanyard would be extra insurance.

    I was thinking about the handlebar clamp too for landing gear just wasn't sure how it would work, and yes tethering would be a good idea.

    I actually ended up getting the Hero 3+ from Costco which is still a good deal. Other one was canceled. Was hoping to find a mount that can be strapped to the plane if possible or real sturdy mount as it would be a lot of money to lose if it were to come off.
