Moki 250cc 40% Sukhoi SU-31

I like 'em "BIG"!
I've suggested that in the past, but he's had the SU-31 for 7 years and wants something new. I flew with him today, and he really likes what he sees on the Valach 250 radial. It looks more refined than the Moki.
It's difficult to really select one over the other. But if the Valach radials run anything like the boxers, it would be a real treat. Being able to see the big three four stroke builders motors first hand, it's hard to pick one over the other. Kolm makes one serious bad ass motor. They really need to make a radial. Even up the tables as it were. I'd give anything I have, (except my dubs) to be the proud owner of any one of my friends four stroke beasts. What am I saying??? Hell yeah I'd trade a dub for one. Lol

I have had the opportunity to setup and run 2 Valach motors and they were impressive and ran absolutely perfectly but not the new 250 radial but would like to. Setup and bench run a 150 Moki radial and was not impressed. Fuel draw was bud and maintenance is high and continues, if the engine is completely open not to bad and if cowled big pain in the neck.
I am like you I would really love to buy the 250 radial from Valach I really really would, but now I would need a plane for it, and have the means to transport the plane and that is my problem and also let’s not forget the cost. Ok nobody laugh and no comments but I am sure you guys cannot resist. You guys know that I have that Stick 85 with 150 on it let’s just say it is big, but just for fun I was thinking to buy the Valach 250 radial and somehow mounting on the stick just so that I can play with a radial, fly it around and enjoy the sound and the owner ship.

Why laugh? This is a hobby right? We do what we want, when we want, the way we want. Btw, my buddy with all those exotic, elegant, expensive European motors put a big Saito radial on his Big Stick. Not as big as yours but a radial all the same. I say, "Do it"! You know you want to.

I have dealt with a number of both Moki and Valach. Not looking to bash anything but in my experience the Valach beats Moki hands down. The Valach has never shown an ignition issue, a carb(or pumping) issue, a cam lobe issue, or anything. They just simply perform each and every time, period!

I'll buy a radial to go it that Su, what does he want for it?

Comp ARF SU31 with a DA200 with lightened cylinders, 2 into 1 headers, canisters, JR8711 servos, PowerBox Compitition and switches. Demon Cortex gyro, JR921 reciever, White Rose wheels, tailwheel and disc brakes, Duralite batteries, PowerBox smoke pump, PowerBox Spark Switch kill switches and the plane is very well kept $6500
