If your just wanting some good flight video a Mobius does the job quite well. It is super easy to use, very small, and has a wide lens. How do I know, why I use one.

I have a 720p HD camera "like" a Mobius. Just wanting something that will zoom and take great pictures. I have not received the 1080p HD yet that is very small for "in flight use". Once I get it I will see how it does and maybe not even bother with another 4K.

All that new stuff and cameras and your pictures still suck.

Just for you then. Pictures of the air speed telemetry in action! Was able to get everything to bind and work properly using just the two remotes. The "feed" from Aura B port to TM1000 is power only. The signal lead has been removed.

I assembled and weighed my new Fortitude 20 ounce tank last night. The old 24 ounce DuBro tanks weighed 3.7 ounces and the new tank weighs a little more than half as much at 1.9 ounces. Figuring carrying 4 ounces less fuel at .75 ounces per fluid ounce and my weight savings is 4,8 ounces. I also went to a three line tank instead of the two line with the tee. I'm hoping not filling it through the clunk line might make it just a bit easier to start since your not disturbing the fuel in the feed line when you fill it. Every little bit helps in getting the GP61 to start, at least I hope. I really miss when it had the DA50 in it and you would choke it in the morning and every start after that was one flip. Of course the GP61 will turn a 24 x 9 Falcon faster than the 50 would turn a 23 x 8, so the power is awesome.

@Xpress Tanner do you use the next size up Tygon when making your fuel line clamps instead of zip ties?

Today I went from 0 of 3 of my gas airplanes in air worthy shape to 2 of 3 ready to fly.

I had a little dirt in the clear on the elevator for Miss Moana so I sanded and polished it before bolting it back on and ready to fly.

I installed and plumbed the new tank on the Edge so it's ready to go.

I also started pulling the Hangar 9 Extra apart. The upper plate on the engine box came off last Sunday, and I found out tonight that the bottom is disconnected from the firewall as well. All that led to the firewall moving and running the idle way up. Hopefully I have some hard triangle stock laying around to reinforce and repair it.

That extra is really falling apart, that plane almost needs to be stripped down and dipped in vat of epoxy to keep it in one piece.

Luckily the firewall is attached to the sides with mortise and tenon joints with a nice piece of triangle stock in the corners, so it stayed put. They have a very large factory hole behind the engine that makes the Chinese plywood firewall flex when the top and bottom come loose.

My "Wall 'O' Foam" needed more light :big-grin:.

I decided to light up the bottom of the QQ300. When I ordered the air speed telemetry the dude was real nice and threw in an electronic switch. So after 3 years of day flying the QQ300 why not do some night flying? I had a bunch of old super bright bar LED's so I mated them to the switch and VIOLA! Turn em' on/off with the transmitter :).

I spent a little time on the Hangar 9 Extra today after getting back from the field. I added some triangle stock on the bottom of the firewall where it meets the floor of the engine box. There was a nice ledge there that looks like it was made for some triangle.

I'm planning on adding some triangle stock to the firewall and sides where the top of the box attaches next.
