    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

Already have a spare 4.5" CF spinner, so if that turns out to be the case you won't hear me complaining:) How's it coming with having J&A manufacture some DLE120 mufflers? Just wondering if that's still in the works.

    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

Nice huckin' Terry. I noticed that Herve's prototype is setup with rudder pull-pull cables, from the 'Nall videos of Gabriel Altuz at the sticks. Herve, where did you end up mounting your batteries in relation to the rudder servo tray?

Thanks for the test info. J. Hope you get a chance to fly the servo a lot this summer for a good wringing out:)

PowerHD Storm 4 HV BRUSHLESS servo from Redwing!!!

Jeremy, I was looking at the specs. on the Storm series but didn't see any mention of startup characteristics. Does the Storm servo have soft start, or does the servo arm immediately "snap" to center when powered on?

PowerHD Storm 4 HV BRUSHLESS servo from Redwing!!!

Nice testing and review, thanks! I've had my eye on those Storm brushless servos for an upcoming 100cc project, and have been looking for reviews on them and etc. BTW, expo is only a function of the transmitter. All that the servo "sees" is the transmitted "position information". In the speed...

    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

DM 5335 (50cc size Electric) made by Subsonic Planes

That is a good question and the answer depends on several factors. I.e. your altitude, desired prop size, and make/model of ESC all need to be taken into consideration in order to obtain maximum drive system power without overloading the motor. You may want to brief Ken Young at Subsonic...

    3D Viper-ST 100-120cc scratch build......it continues!

19479=12721-VST.jpg Man, this is one sharp looking plane. 26 lb. 100cc, nice and stiff foam core wings and etc., now we're talking my kind of dream 3D airframe:)

    PAU 30% Sukhoi SU-26 ARF 50-60cc

That would make for a good how-to to help the noobs understand what's taking place in the mix and how to implement it. I run mixing in foamies and several 48" and 58" electrics to help with really bad KE coupling issues, i.e. a pair of mixes at once, R:A, and R:E. A 48" Extra 260 balsa ARF...

    Gecko 120hv and Q80 8M won't spin...

That's what I was thinking. After doing the first time ESC power up throttle range calibration, sometimes the ESC's calibration will drift and the throttle trim will have to be lowered to get it to arm. If running the trim down doesn't do it then hit the end point adjustment to get it into...

Extreme Flight EXP Servo Thread (60" EXP's): Poll!!!

7245MG? poll typo should be HS-7245MH; M=Metal gears, H=High voltage. The HS-7245MH is a personal favorite for the 60" class airframes, and I'm running a pair of them for the elevators on my EF 70" Extra 300.

12S power systems ideas and options

Tim, just curious if you've had a chance to maiden the 91" Yak? And also, how's the 175kv wind doing with the 24x12?

DM 5335 (50cc size Electric) made by Subsonic Planes

That's kickin' it at ~5800 watts! Excellent! I assume your 5335 is the 189kv? Still using the 24x12 prop?

DM 5335 (50cc size Electric) made by Subsonic Planes

Not any more, the DLE-50 was replaced with the DLE-55 and both use the same firewall bolt pattern. Ken's DM5335 has been "in the works" for several years now, at least 3 years that I know of. Mine just arrived and the quality is just what I've come to expect from Motrolfly. Very nicely made:)

12S power systems ideas and options

Manta, nice 5335-189kv fitted 89 Slick power demonstration video:) I'm curious to know what kind of RPM you're getting with the 24x12? Addendum: OK, found some of your posted info. in another forum for the 189kv wind: Zoar 24x12 prop (I assume the e-version, PJN) 12s, Glacier packs 110...

    3DHS 92" Edge 540 (Electric Build)

+1, electric is sweet. What turned me on to electrics after 11 years of IC engines, not to mention no mess and being very quiet, is that there's no vibration to cause accumulative wear and tear on airframe and avionics over the long haul. That's especially handy for someone putting in daily 3D...
