Or come in with some ridiculous low ball offer and they know nothing about the item. (I hate Craigslist for this reason) I don't even respond to them.

Alright, (Ford, Chevy, Dodge) everyone has an opinion right? I have not flown this plane but have heard it is an all around great flyer. Aero-works 120cc Freestyle 260. While it is not completely red, it does have quite a bit of red on it.

    DLE 35RA Muffler bolts

This has been our forecast for the last 4 weeks and you can see it is the same for the next 10 days. I know it could be worse. 100+ with no rain in the forecast. That was how the last 4 years turned out!

    DLE 35RA Muffler bolts

Thank you Bipenut and AKNick. Next time I have the cowl off I will open it up a bit more on the sides and turn the clamps as well. I went ahead a put this one back together last night so I could get it off the workbench. I want to finish up the RedwingRC Yak so I can fly it this weekend if...

    DLE 35RA Muffler bolts

Thanks guys. I am going to open it up in front of the down tubes in hopes of getting more air over the cylinder head and out of the cowl. I do access the choke rod through one of the cowl ears but have thought about putting in foam baffles to direct the airflow. I will open the bottom first...

It is back together. I used the rtv on the threads this time and I installed lock washers. Now, I said I would upload a photo of the cowl too so that is attached. I think you can make it out in the photo that there is an airdam to create the low pressure to help suck air out of the cowl...

I am completely with you on Valley View's service. But isn't putting a used wrist pin your motor somewhat defeating the purpose of the rebuild?

    DLE 35RA Muffler bolts

I am glad you brought this up. One of the guys at the flying field said the same thing. I thought about it this morning and was going to post it here to see what others thought. I was in Lowe's last night and bought some 5mm x .8 x 30mm bolts. They were a tick long so I cut off about 5mm to...

    DLE 35RA Muffler bolts

I have it all apart right now. But will try to get some photos posted here so you can see what I have and make recommendations. I like the idea of baffles to redirect air over the cylinder and there is a bit of an air dam built into the cowl already. I think my other option would be to...

I did not see it as a thread hijack. The entire conversation was relevant. I was sincere in thanking you guys for your input. I learn from these conversations.

    DLE 35RA Muffler bolts

Guys, I really appreciate the feedback! On my setup, I DID NOT use the gasket but went with the high temp silicone method that I have read elsewhere on forums. I used Blue Loctite on the threads but do not recall if I used a lock washers or not. If the motor came with lock washers for the...

    DLE 35RA Muffler bolts

Had my muffler come loose today and both bolts managed to find their way out of the cowl. I went to the DLE website and checked the exploded view for my motor, it lists a part number for a host of bolts but does not specify the actual dimensions of the bolt. Does anyone on here know what the...

    3DHS and Extreme Flight Merger?

That's pretty sweet Bushwacker. I don't have all those options so I joined a club. We have a decent setup with paved runway, covered pavilion with electric and water and a very clean porta-potty. (A must have if we want the wives to come out for the fun flys) Dues are not bad ($70/yr) and a...
