    Forgot to mention.....the base coat of gray primer is so you can sparingly use the flexstone. It is grey/white/black so it the background grey fills in....helping you keep the weight down.

    I've always used cheap primer gray paint first from places like walmart. If you want the speckled look you then get the flekstone spray. Careful though because that stuff gets everywhere. create a shield or wrap your plane, it will get all over it!!!!! Any good automotive spray paint...

    Have you crashed, pancaked, etc etc? Well I'm in need of some 35-37% Edge 540 wings. Can be foam core or built up. If you have the wing tube even better. Prefer wings that are not completely mangled but some light damage is ok. I have a Discontinued Edge that needs new wings! Price...

    Lake? I remember a cow pasture out from the field and a home to the right with a small pond for the cows. I flew with Tom Robertson (Hobbies Xtreme owner), Kevin Cole, Jermey Holt and Jonas Pharr when I lived there from '99-'04

    I think it was 2007........I believe that is when I won Basic with a borrowed plane. It was only like my 3rd contest I flew. I was living in Vegas at the time.

    I prefer 1/4x20 bolts glued in the wing with nylon wing nuts to hold the wing in the fuse. I make this modification on any plane that isn't already setup for it. Never had one of these fail. I replace the wing nuts yearly.....they are like prop bolts. INEXPENSIVE when you buy them in bulk.

    Sleepy- Turbines can be bought by anyone. Remember AMA rules are only for INSURANCE, nothing else. With that insurance comes events and fields you can fly at because you have insurance. AMA lobby's the government based on membership. A key to that is insurance if something bad happens...

    Yes you would. But idle is not too bad a situation. It's really preference and dependent on your flying style. If I flew a lot of toward crowd maneuvers then I'd probably set to kill. I fly mostly left to right so idle isn't as big a deal. I also range check, check batts etc quite...
