They look like off road tyres, hope that they will not be to noisy.

They are General Grabber AT/x which is the same thing as a BFG All Terrain just cheaper. It’s a good all around street tire with some grip for off road stuff. I just have a 2wd pick up truck but I wanted a tire that looks good and for times when it snows and I still have to go to work I wasn’t as worried about loosing grip. And honestly they where only about $10 more per tire than the last set of just street tires I have on the truck now and are supposed to last around 60,000 miles.

    Well Fellas,

After my battery debacle, Duralite hooked me up with the batteries I need for my Yak 55. . . . . . :dancing-chicken:.

three 2500 mAh batteries should be PLENTY to get me through a weekend of flying. . . . :big_yes:. My checklist is really starting to get short with things I need as well as the things I want to finish up the big Yak. Now if work would just slow down a little bit, I should be able to get some more time to work on this baby. . . . . . :yesss:.

It was not the postman but I did score me one of these today.
A fellow modeler that lives near by asked if I knew where he could get a few of the missing parts such as the cabane, struts, landing gear. I told him where he could get the gear and that he could trace my GP Pitts parts as they were the same. He came by today to trace the parts but turns out he preferred letting it go over trying to make the parts. So I took it off his hands and sat it in the corner for when the day comes that I want to work on models again. I have owned many Pitts over the years but somehow I have never managed to own a Christen Eagle. Until now that is.

If that's the 1:3rd scale I had one with a Saito 300TDP. Flew nice but I remember having to land a bit hot with it and it did not like being even the slightest bit tail heavy. Would easily snap out of a moderately tight loop with only a bit of up elevator. Pretty much like a Pitts of that Era.

    Don’t you hate it when...

I’m almost out of the local hobby shop with my loot when I’m walking down an aisle one more time. Out of the corner of my eye I see this model. Knowing what the price typically is, I can’t believe the marked down, close-out price. Of course I don’t need another one, but I just can’t help myself!

You may remember this model, but if not, it was designed by my good friends Mirco Pecorari and David Payne. So one more reason I couldn’t simply walk by and not buy it!
