I guess I really can't contribute to this other than read it and chuckle profusely. I really don't have anyone getting jealous or upset on how much I buy or spend. I do have problems from time to time with my planes though. I hear the voices. Their murmurings amongst themselves..... Whispers in the dark...."How come he's taking you flying tomorrow"? "He just took you yesterday. I haven't been flying in three days". "Ya but, He took the 260 twice this week". "And...and....and now he has that "NEW" big plane, We'll never get to fly once it's done".... Hee hee (there really needs to be a little emoticon for "crazy". LOL

My wife's good with it the vast majority of the time. She's actually the reason I have my shop area, and she gives me $2000.00 each year for my Birthday, which of course is spent on toy airplanes. On those rare occasions when she's not "good" with it, it's usually because she's pissed at the girls or some other perfectly good reason.

No problems if kept within reason time for family and non plane related things



She supports the hobby has bought me a 78 edge Rtf off of kijiji an eg msxr 50cc EF 110 yak knowing what it would take to finish it and then a 6 x 12 trailer to match my truck and told me to finish it nice inside

My wife is a masters prepared nurse educator who just got into the doctoral program at the med center...needless to say her weekends are pretty much committed to school work and the pursuit of that degree...I now have more free time to spend at the club and our hobby...My wife paid the bills the first 25 years of our marriage and got tired of me bitching about money or the lack of so now I'm doing bill pay on the second 25...



I was spending way too much and decided to get better control this year and so far so good...I don't look at new planes, motors and accessories as much because that desire/addiction is always there and I know it....it's real tough when someone shows up with a new plane..



Maybe we need to start a RC anonymous for those of us who cant get control..I once saw a sign entering a casino in Tunica that said "Real winners know when to quit."

My wife will actually cook for our fun flies and sometimes send stuff with to the meetings. She is ok as long as I talk to her before a major purchase, ie 42% Edge It has cost me a couple of sewing machines, but it is worth it in the long run. My daughters actually enjoy going to the field with me to take pictures or just bs with the guys. I have started umpiring softball to help fund my trips throughout the year and that helps too.
