Neat trick with the wire for cutting the spinner, but how could you adapt the trick to use for a smaller spinner that didn't have to be attached from the edge like your big spinner?

You're getting close now. . . . . :yesss:

I think it will be easier since the cone can swivel so all you'll need to do is just mark the blades location on the back plate and then attach the cone and make the slots for the blades with a contour gage for the exact shape of the blades, on the mark locations.

HEY!..GET OUTTA MY TREE!
The wire trick works well. I use thick soldering wire.....easy to bend and it hold it's shape. once you get it wrapped around the prop at the location about where the spinner would be, lay the wire shape and as Taz did, trace around the OUTSIDE of the wire. this will give you some clearance, but maybe not enough to get the spinner on. Then it's a bit of trial and error removing a little here and there until it will slide over the prop easily.

Once you get THAT shape, trace it and make the other cutouts match it. Check the balance and mount'er up Matey!!! :pirate::cheers:

Today I did some improvements to the pants.
Added some carbon instead of a wooden support.
Also made the area where the screw needs to be with about 5 small diagonal layers, drilled it and taped it instead of the conventional blind nut.
Now the entire surface that is attached to the gear is very rigid.

Did the first stage break in.
25 minutes in total in the ground.
Here are the short videos of the three fazes.

Faze one
5 minutes high idle, about 2500 rpm.

Faze two 10 minutes from idle to half to 3/4 throttle.

Faze three 10 minuets from idle to full every time I delay the time on the full position.

No shortcuts....
Eventually i did install the blind nuts on the pants it seems that the thread with the carbon won't hold The stress and the vibrations of the plane and flight that being said what I did is to drill a hole through the pants and the main gear in the blind but will stick out from the pant but it will go inside and through the maingear what will make eventually a more rigid hole for both plant and gear.
