3dhs says 16-18 pounds. They are usually pretty close. I would aim for right at 16 pounds but not be too dissapointed if it came in at 17.

Agreed.
This is one of the lighter 3dhs planes.

I loved mine on a stock EME60 and 23x10 cf prop.

What is the flying weight that people are getting with this plane?

mine is a tad over 18lb. That's with an EME 60 in it and 2x2s2200 li-fe packs powering everything (including ignition). Generally I've found that the high side number of 3dhs suggested weights is the low side of what you might actually get. I doubt you can get one of these down to 16lb. 18 is easily achievable, though typically you will see 18-19, or even 20 if you go with dual batteries and a separate ignition pack and use old ni-cd packs as some do.

Good insight ryan_m. I know you like your planes to fly light. How does this one feel to you at a tad over 18 pounds?

my electric conversion weighed in at 18lb 10oz, with joe's helicopter battery tray mod and 12s5300 configuration. the plane feels all kinds of light and floaty, i dont think i would want it much lighter.

I'm with Birk, wouldn't want it any lighter. Flies awesome in the 18.5 lb range.
