I cut a little rectangle to expose the fins on the cylinder while leaving a 1/2" bit of the cowl opening for structure. Then I blocked the front and extended the baffle backwards to the fins to limit blow-by. I haven't actually checked the temps after flights but after running on the ground for 5 minutes or so yielded about 250 degrees. The stupid hinges on the elevators loosened up and I had to repair that but otherwise I love this plane. Outstanding precision, great 3D, and really fast rolls!
