I forgot to add... raffle tickes are $1 for one and 6 for $5. We hope you want at least 100 of them :)

    St George Utah 3D Bash

The raffle is our club's main source of revenue from this event (hopefully). The money we get from event revenue goes to maintaining and expanding our field. Our field is owned, operated, and built by the club members. I think I can say with a fair amount of confidence that our field is...

I thought I would let you guys know about some of the coolness that is developing in terms of demonstration pilots. We are planning on Andrew Taylor for both Friday and Saturday. Mark Leseburg is planning to fly a demo on Friday. Kim Quenette has committed to flying a demo on Saturday. I am...

    Best 50cc Aerobeez Airplane

I am guessing the new extra is the best all around 3d machine.

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I have no problem agreeing to disagree... it is totally a preference item. My biggest point was to counter the categorical imperitive that was used stating that All aiframes from everyone should have removable stabs. I was simply maki g the case that there is another valid point of view with...

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

Not doubting the convenience factor on this... but I am also not super impressed by how rigid the stabs can be on the removable stabs for small planes. I dont think the convenience is worth the price and weight of the extra required servo on smaller planes. On the bigger 50cc + planes it makes...

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

I think the 90-ish inch laser will have removable stabs. The opinion I expressed was about 30cc and smaller.

    Aj aircraft 93,73,56 laser

The other side of the argument is... a 30cc plane doesnt need two elevator servos and the extra weight is unnecessary. I have had two this size with removable stabs and have yet to ever take them off. I think they are over-rated in this size. There are definitely strong arguments to be made...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Welcome to all the new members! You are gonna love it here :D TFilms it sounds like you are most comfortable with fuel planes. I second the other pilot reccomendations to get an electric foamie to learn 3d basics on. Half the game is practice and the other half is confidence. You can...

Yes! We enjoy having helis at our events. What we have come up with that seems to work well for everyone is to let helis have the flight line exclusively once per hour for about 10 minutes. So pay attention to announcements from the PA with that in mind to get your heli time in.

    88" 30% Sbach 300 ARF V2!

The planes are built really strong... a little heavier than 3dhs but not really overbuilt. I crashed my 30cc slick a few weeks ago and the CF landing gear broke... no fuse damage. Totally unreal. The designs are pretty good and getting better all the time. The hardware package is really nice...
