    I agree - it's the thickness of the wires...I was trying to keep it simple...usually the cell count and the wire thickness go hand in hand. ;)

    Nah, I think that's ok. Did you check at Radio Shack or Walmart? They sell these things as well. You will need a higher wattage one to solder larger wires (e.g. on 6S batteries, etc). but for the small stuff that should be ok.
