Have you ever tried strip planking method for sheeting? See pdf below. This is my Cherokee 140 that was redone several years ago. If I did it again I would increase the sheeting thickness by one size then sand a little more. All in all it worked well.- TonyHallo

What you have is silver bearing solder, what you need is silver solder and flux. It is higher in silver content. Yes the retirement is working out great, I put a shift in today on the build. I did spend a few hours on the snowblower however, it hasn't ran in several years so I had to give the fuel tank a Drano treatment followed by a Muratic acid bath. Hopefully it will run tomorrow. The trail edges are 1/4" dowel, I plan to cover the plane with Stits fabric and I would expect the shrinking process to deform the trailing edge. I dadoed a 1/8" groove 1/8" deep on the 1/4" dowels on the tablesaw. The ends of the ribs were finished in a make shift router table. I used 1/8"...- TonyHallo

I completed the cabin roof section to the point where I can glue the wings together. I wanted to slide the roof section onto wing spars while gluing the root rib to ensure everything will fit, it is a little snug and will require some sanding but all in all I think it will work well. The gear on the BUSA Cub and Super Cub is silver soldered, similar size tubing. That is why I suggested using it. Cleaning the flux is a real pain however.- TonyHallo
