    Sport Building table/board

    I'm using two 36" wide solid wood doors, 3' x13'. The surface is leveled on a steel frame bolted to the basement floor. It might not be perfect but it is surly close enough. The attached photo is an eight foot one piece wing in the vacuum bag with room to spare.

    I like Titebond II because it is water resistant. Since I cut my own cores and they are always not as perfect as CNC cut cores, I have had trouble when the sheets were taped only and not glued in the area where the wire travels slowly near the wing tips. So I always glue them.

    I got my cowl from Devin, nice glass work, not sure when I will build this plane. I had a 33% designed by Wayne Urley that was very similar in construction this one is just a little bigger. The 33% plans showed a geared .60 glow motor for power. Today we use 100 cc!

    The plans were drawn by Jack Strickland, this may help others identify the plans. My plans look the same however there is sufficient detail to build the elevator. Only the upper portion is dark.

    I agree with Dirt, looks like cf lamination. I got CF arrow shafts at the local bow hunter supply store, he had a bucket full of broken ones for free.

    Are all the cross braces gusseted or only those shown toward the rear of the plane?

    Cam, Just curious why you used HYSOL for the engine box and epoxy for the carbon tubes? Is there a specific reason for each? I normally use West System with a small amount of micro fibers for my builds. The HYSOL seems rather expense?

    I made this tool for laying out cross bracing, mark with a pencil and sand to line on my disc sander. Keep the pencil sharp.

    What is the final ratio? Looks like about 8 to 1, at 6000 rpm that brushless motor going to be spinning!
