Scale 20cc DHC-2 "Beaver" Kit Build from Moustache Model Works

Just one note of curiosity, if the laser files are correct, why isn't the drawing. It would seem one would start with the drawing?

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

Had a little spare time so I installed the DRO on the lathe while it was pulled away from the wall due to the french drain work. The parts came from Banggood and total cost was about $250. The glass scales were cut to fit the lathe. I had read that the glass scale could not be cut but did...

    Scale The Red Eagle rebooted

I think your main worry is slop aileron system, pretty sure the rod ends you selected will do the job, what are the hinges like?

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I built this Giles 300 from Ohio RC plans, pretty sure the rights were owned by a company called ProModel when I built it. It was a very nice flying plane as I recall, no bad habits. The wings, stabilizer, rudder and turtle deck were all cut from foam rather the the built up design. It is no...

    Scale The Red Eagle rebooted

So I assume you will make some sort of spacer to keep the wing spacing while removed, that's a great plan. Will you use airfoil shaped rods or round rods? The links below came to mind, I'm thinking the threaded end from the 1/4 scale turnbuckle drilled for a short piece of brass tubing and a...

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

Is that mic reading in mm? Again you will find many more uses for the mic, I am lost when I can't find my 0-1" mic and that's pretty often!

    Scale The Red Eagle rebooted

Yes but you will need to hook up the linkage, depending on method you choose, this could make for a more difficult assembly.

    Mike Hurley Extra

The Hurley Extra brings back some great memories. I built two back when the plane was featured in MA, flew one and sold the other in the bones. The one I flew was built with foam rib wings and the other was foam core per plans. The foam rib wings were 6 ounces lighter each than the foam core...
