Yes Drew, excellent build with detailed pictures! One question: how did you secure the servo extension wires to the upper wing struts? I don't see any tie-wraps, but they look so clean, so they must be attached somehow....?

Thanks for the info. I'll keep an eye on the elevator joiner and hinges! Regarding the flaps: what is "nearly full deflection" for you? 70 degrees? 90 degrees? Finally, regarding the door being blown off...are you running electric or gas? And if electric, do you have a vent in the bottom of...

Building of the 30cc Slick 540 from Redwing RC!!!

that was a nice video...must have been pretty windy that day! I would have liked to see more slow speed stuff like some harriers; I know that's tough in the wind, but it would have shown if there was any wing rock to deal with. The DLE-35RA is the right motor for this plane, I think! No...

Finally made some more progress. Installing the tail wires was a tedious process, I must admit! first I installed the plates and the clevises: some of the plates (especially the top plate) needed more bend in order to line up with the clevises on the horizontal stab tips...

Mine is flying fine with the DLE-55RA...we weighed it at the field, ready to fly, with full tank, approx 18 pounds. Sure flies "light". Someday I might upgrade from the DLE-55RA to a GP-61..not any time soon though. It flies just great as it is. :D

On some engines you can rotate the throttle arm 180 degrees...is that possible with the VVRC40? If that causes conflict with the choke arm, there are offset throttle/choke arms (different heights) available that allow them to operate without hitting each other...I think TBM and others sell...

Ditto that...6S5000 near back of battery tray with pull-pull rudder servo in rudder tray. Installing the pull pull rudder is not really that hard...just use the manual and you'll be fine. Make sure you only screw in the threaded sleeve into the ball link joint a small amount as you are...
