    Not sure about Hobbico life batteries, but there are many sponsors of this site who sell life batteries that are very good for this application. Many people will tell you that reducing the number of components in a system is a good way to reduce failure points, and I would agree with that...

    No smoke...Dle55ra, savox 1268's, 2x2200 7.4v lipos thru a wolverine switch. Runs great...choke...flip...pop...unchoke...flip...startup....fly!

    looks good Gary....I would suggest you get a longer throttle arm...I doubt you are going to get the resolution you need with an arm that short. TBM makes one; I used it on my DLE-30.

    That's great work Sam! A buddy of mine did the same thing with the 51 Slick motor box after his got crunched and he made a copy for me since I needed one too. Glad to hear yours worked out so well!

    Nate, I'm loving the progress on this build, but I have to admit I don't prefer having to "page back" to page 1 to see the new things you are doing. Might you consider just adding to the end of the log for each new entry? Regards, Mike

    Yeah I'm with Nate...a vintage plane like that...you should fix it. Also, FYI, at the Knoxville FLI Noll was selling one last remaining yellow 51 Slick NIB for $200 as a garage sale item. Not sure if he still has it or if it sold, but it might be worth asking about. :D
