Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Go look at the video of Jacob's noon demo from bowling green last year, he did it with a 104 extra :)

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

24B might be at the top end of the GP61's limit... you'll likely loose some RPM with it. If you want speed, follow Jacob's advice and get the 23B. He's a speed freak.... however so am I, and I like the 24x10.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

I've flown the 24x10 Mej back-to-back with the Falxon, I prefer the Falcon

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

I run either a 24x9 or 24x10 on my GP61. Either will work well. The plane probably won't mind the weight of the Pitts muffler at all, and should still balance fine with batts around the wing tube. The 1231 are on the heavier side I think. Good luck!

    Aeroplus 60cc / 92" Edge 540 V3 from Limitless Aero

Don't add any weight yet, just take it for a test flight... See how it flies before you spend a ton of time on a balancing machine. You never know, you might love how it flies at its current balance point.

    Hitec BRUSHLESS servos

I've been running a set of these servos in my 60cc plane since October last year, and simply put: they're the best servo I've used to date. They meet all advertised specs and a incredibly precise. Try some, you won't be disappointed!

EG 100cc Slick 540 from Aztech Aeromodels

So does it keep the plane noticeably cooler under the canopy?

    Redwing 30cc Yak55 Buid Log

My preference is the TechAero IBEF. As 3dNater said above, pluging an OPTO kill ignition power plug into a battery also used by your rx will provide only the interference reduction the actual battery can buffer. NJSwede wrote an awesome article about it here...

    3DHS 70" Velox

Mine runs excellent on my Velox, even in the heat. I run the same 18x10 prop that ryan_m does... And we both push the motor in the summer. Don't forget to baffle if you can, the cooling air directed onto the motor will only help, especially in the summer.

    3DHS 70" Velox

Shannon, hacker motors tend to run slightly on the warm side anyway, so pushing more watts through one than designed is almost guaranteeing trouble... Sorry :( My recommendation: when using a motor/prop combo different than what is advertised on the vendor website, it is a MUST to test it out...

    Extreme Flight 104 Extra

As I'm transitioning my airplane over to Hitec control, I replaced the spektrum powersafe receiver with this: Got my new Optima 9 receiver paired up to my Aurora 9x, and powered through a RCCSKJ power board, perfect for my 104. Available from RedwingRC, it comes with 8 channels plus a...

    Redwing RC Extra 330SC 50-60CC

Mike, sounds like it's still not tuned right, or not broken in fully yet. I was running a Xoar sword 23x8 on the old DLE 55 side dump that came with that slick when I bought it, and performance was excellent. YMMV.

    Redwing RC Extra 330SC 50-60CC

I agree with your thinking, and id likely do the same thing. Also, you'll cut the cowl much less this way, and the 89" Slick is already cut for side dump too. Also, get a 23x8 on that 55ra, 22" is underpropped. :)

    Extreme Flight 104 Extra

Thanks Jacob, I'll look into that. I Got this shot of my 104 yesterday while at the field. I handed the sticks over to Brian Yak Dude for a thumb rest, and picked up my camera for a minute. This was shot when he was hovering, and right as he punched out, I got underneath and shot upward.
