    I just heard from Brian a few minutes ago. He's having a lot of fun, and is pleased with his flying thus far. Here is a photo of Brian and his über supportive mom Judy: Brian is flying his new biplane in this year's competition, and he only got it just over a week ago!

    I know that! :) The procedure is the exact same. I did the ring and reed block mod on MY dle 30 last year, and not a single in flight failure of the engine to date. It's moved around and seen time on 5 different airframes. Runs PERFECT.

    Personally, I'd buy a DLE from RedwingRC, I really like the way the owner Tim runs his business :D you need to check the reed blocks primarily, but also installing a new ring is recommended. here is an article about it...

    You could probably go with the HSB-9465SH as ~190oz/in of torque that won't fade even if voltage sags a little. Should be plenty for a 30cc, and the .07 speed is NICE. I'll probably get some one day as well.

    Since I made the jump from 6v to 7.4, I was able to get the miracle regulator out of the plane, and install some Fromeco goodness :D

    Finally getting around to installing some Hitec HS-5565MH servos onto my 72". I figured I'd do it RIGHT and upgrade a little :) Got some awesome red arms from @Aztechaeromodels, and upgraded to M3 hardware and titanium adjustable rods. This hardware upgrade should keep her flying forever!

    Put it this way... That plane NEEDS a Gyro... Respectfully, I'd offer you can't truly evaluate the plane however, as the gyro helped with many of that planes bad tendencies. BUT, I am happy you enjoyed it regardless!
