    I would do the rib tapes then the perimeter tape last. Did you use poly tac to put the tapes on? I also put the first coat of poly brush on before taping, pretty sure I seem this on the Stitt instructional video.

    Not of the door but they are just 1/8" x 1/4" balsa like these. Just around the outside perimeter. Both sides are 3/8" thick sheet including the door with balsa sticks to simulate the tubing.

    The door on the BUSA Super Cub is a solid sheet of balsa possibly 3/8" thick with 1/4" wide sticks glue around the outside perimeter to simulate built up structure.
