    Yippee! What the postman brought

Calling Snoopy.... Just seen that Brooma offers heavy duty servo wire with the .5mm power wires and the .3mm signal wire. Last time I looked at Power Box site they had dropped this wire.

Scale Wendell Hostetler 30% Piper Cherokee Glass Fuselage Build.

Been getting a lot of sale emails from National Balsa recently. Makes one wonder if they have a cash flow problem, hope not. At any rate the most recent add was for Aerolite balsa sheet, 25 3"x36" sheets for $99, you pick the thickness, 1/16", 3/32", or 1/8". Decided to order two of the 1/8"...

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Heading to "Wings Over Piper" in Lock Haven PA on Thursday, about a 3 hour trip. Might stay over night or just come home late Thursday afternoon, don't know. Have to stop in the Piper Museum and get some more photos of the TriPacer on display there.

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

The Armstrong RC Flyers had their picnic/fun fly on Saturday and I got an invite. Had a great time, spent 7 hours there, maybe six flights. Someone had a real swell 1/3 scale Champ! Burgers, dogs, corn, beans, salads, what a great spread they put out. Beautiful day, clean skies and light winds.

    Mini lathe (and mill) discussion.

Just married a 4" Little Machine Shop adapter to a $37 Amazon ER32 collet holder. The old ER32 collet holder was a JT3 taper mount that did not allow for through hole work so I always wasted a little stock when I used it. This was much more work than I had hoped for. My spindle mount is a 39...

The remote switch arrived a few days ago. Looks nice, haven't powered it yet. Might try it out in the Champ! It is fail safe in that you need to push the A button then the B within 2 seconds to turn is on. C and D buttons turn it off in the same manner.

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

I got to the field at 10:30, my flying buddy Ken was there already, he ask what time can we fly on Sunday? I don't know, lets look at the rules. Checked the rules and discover flying on Sunday is 1:00 PM! We BS for a while and he decides to go home, I waited it out and put four practice...

    Scale BUSA Super Cub

Quick update on the Super Cub. When the first areas of red were painted, it was over the silver Poly Spray, the final set went over the Datytona white painted areas. The color match was off quite a bit so I need to repaint those areas, ordered a new set of PIPER logo masks. Thinking ahead...

    Scale BUSA Super Cub

My mentor started judging me yesterday, all three flights were about an 88 score but I think he being too kind. Even flying the elementary maneuver's that the Champ can perform have a lot of things that can go wrong. This was compounded by the 9 MPH crosswind, Do you judge both the flights...
