The I'm going out flying thread 2016

You can say that again. Would you believe we've even had a generator stolen? Wait for it. DURING AN EVENT!

Nice! We would love to do the same but we have a lot of vandalism to deal with.

I guess I was lucky. I let my cheap Walmart Asus laptop upgrade to Win10. It broke my free AVG but other than that it works better than Win8 that was on it.

I only use them for fuel proofing and construction. For finish work I'd use a more expensive chip brush to apply and a playing card to smooth things out. I used to work for Lowe's they sell a 5 pack for $1.99. The Harbor Freight deal is the best one in my neighborhood.

I'm waiting for this one to die. I've got my hand crank pump in the trailer for a backup. Waiting for the next best thing but haven't found it yet. I know the Greylor pump that Jersey Modeler sells is probably my destination. Just procrastinating. Besides I can't go out flyin yet still in...

Please let us know how that Miracle fuel pump works out for you. There's not a great selection out there right now for pumps. I bought one of the last CNC pumps from Taildragger RC and it leaks but it's OK for now.

I bought a used 3W75 from a guy. It had been sitting in a barn for several years. 100+ and -0 weather covered in dust. I bought a carb kit from Gerhard and installed it. Choke on flip flip flip pop. Choke off flip flip vroom. Runs great.

    Favorite RC Magazine?

Magazines, or for that matter even newspapers. It just don't feel right to take a laptop into the bathroom! Just sayin. Man I really need to get out and go flyin!

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

It's usually great here in the mornings. Unfortunately for me my "driver" doesn't share my enthusiasm for the hobby. I got a brand new recumbent stationary bike yesterday! Got to get this knee working!!!

Thank goodness we don't have those out here. When I was younger and "less experienced" I used to jump out of the back of a tournament ski boat with nothing but a handle a ski and a life jacket and yell "Hit It".

Bull snake? They get crazy big and angrier than rattlers in my part of the country. It's fun after I brush hog at our field, time to chase the snakes away. The rattlers lose their heads however. Anyone ever eat rattlesnake? Tastes like chicken! :dancing-chicken:

Didn't make it to the shop because........

That does not look like fun. Kind of like when I re-decked my 16' flatbed trailer earlier this spring. You will be happy when it's done.
