I worked a little more on the plane today and finished assemblying the retracts and got them mounted. I am not impressed by the quality of Robart nothing seemed to fit and had to end up really improvising to get them together. Something that expensive should be better quality. I dont care if...

That is a good Idea, Think Im just going to buy some hard balsa It isnt that expensive. Are you doing to une ply on your servo hatch cover mounts? On secont thought I'm Going to get a small sheet of 1/4 inch ply and cut some blocks on it to mount the servos onto the ply servo hatches.

I'm also going to install the arelon servo mounts before joining the wings. The Japanese did capture a few P-40s and there is a record of at least one Japanese being shot down by his own side thinking he was the enimy.

Thanks the bell crank after I installed had way to much drag. from the friction between the inner and outer liners so Im just going to scrap it I like the idea of using seperate servos anyway instead of all that linkage. Ill use the same thickness of ply on the hatches that I used for the ribs...

I installed the bell crank system in my wings tonight and I really dont like it there seems to be to much resustence so Im going to tear it out and do what you did go with seperate servos for each arelon and flap. Im just going to cut the belcrank plate out between 8& 9 and put in a servo mount...

Thanks I found them lose in the box but were wraped in plastic, It would be nice if kit manufacturers would lable parts clearly instead of builders trying to identify indescript parts by their shape or just guessing sometime. Reminds me when I was a kid I bought a model kit of an airplane and...

I dont think it was shipping costs as the rudder and elevator had balsa in the holes but were cut. I have all these round plugs now so i guess if you wanted not to have the holes you could run thin CA in the seams.
