    74" Edge 540

Did you order the 1/4-32 plug version VVRC twin? I know that version will fit but not sure about the CM6 plug version.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Thanks for the feedback...I have the EF 88" edge on my radar. Need to finish my 74" Edge and my CARF 2.3 first. If I do get the 88" Edge I want to make the rudder removable for transportation reasons unless I buy a trailer.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Thanks for the feedback RKEstes! I have a VVRC 40cc twin on the way to put in my 74" Edge 540. How do you like having two different class sizes of planes (30cc & 60cc)? Looking at the 78" extra and the 88" edge the size difference is not that noticably different. Can you tell a difference in...

    74" Edge 540

I have the VVRC 40cc twin (1/4-32 plug version) coming to put in my 74" edge. Not sure about using the stock pull/pull or push/pull setup for the rudder using the VVRC 40cc twin. I currently have my 74" edge setup to use the stock pull/pull setup and will try that first when I install the 40cc...

    30cc and 60cc airframes

Well after going back and forth on trying to sell my 74" Edge and getting a 30% size plane I've finally decided I just need to keep the 74" edge, install the 40cc twin and fly it for at least this season. I've realized I get ahead of myself wanting to go bigger before I've even become...

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Thanks Enterprise with the feedback. From what I've been reading the DLE55, GP61, DA60 and DA70 seem to be a better choice for this airframe.

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Anyone mount a DLE60 twin yet in there 92" Edge?

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Love it man. That setup looks awesome. I'm building a CARF 2.3m Edge that I was planing on putting the DA70 in it but now is might have to go in the 88" Edge first! Other option is just put a DA60 in the 88" Edge or try the DLE60 twin.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Can someone tell me how wide the inside of the cowl is? Wondering if a DLE60 twin would fit? Never mind. I found the info I needed.

    30cc and 60cc airframes

I really like the edges for some reason so thats what I'm sticking with. Plan is that I'll build a balsa version 30% edge to have as a warm-up plane then fly my pride and joy 2.3m (91") Edge 540. At leaset that's my plan right now! I do like the Extra's and Yak54's also.

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

So I guess the cut-out is not need on the left side for the plug cap?

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Thanks! I appreciate that. I've been wanting to get a EF plane and I really like their 88" Edge. Only down fall for me is that the rudder is not removable. I need it to be removable for transportation reasons. The removable rudder is one of the main reasons why I like the Pilot 30% Edge and...

    30cc and 60cc airframes

I'm considering that. Another option is a DA70. Looking at the EF 88" Edge. Really like the plane but the only down fall for me is that it doesn't have a removable rudder. The removable rudder on the 3DHS 92" Edge and the Pilot 30% Edge are a big plus for me. I need the rudder to be...

Extreme Flight 88" Edge -- now with EXP sized horizontal stabs

Anyone know how to make the rudder removable? I'm really considering getting the 88" Edge but not having a removable rudder is kind of bummer. I think robart Next question is engine...DLE61, DA60 or DA70? Thanks!

    30cc and 60cc airframes

VVRC has the DLE61 in stock. Now I need to decide if I want to go with the DLE61 or DA60.

    30cc and 60cc airframes

10-4...Thanks for the feedback on the split cowls. I guess my only need in a 30% size plane is that the rudder is removable for transportation.

    30cc and 60cc airframes

The 30% Pilot Edge doesn't have a split cowl? If not that's kind of a bummer! I might have to reconsider the 3DHS 92" Edge since it does have the split cowl and removable rudder and stab. Is the split cowl that big of a deal and if you were to do it yourself who difficult would it be? One...

    30cc and 60cc airframes

Engine for the 30% Pilot Edge 540? Is the DA60 worth the $360 more than what a DLE55RA would cost? Never owned either one before. Thanks!

    30cc and 60cc airframes

Bruceman Couple of questions. 1. What header (drop) and canister do you have setup for the DA60? 2. Is that carbon fiber vinyl you have on the motor box? 3. Is that the blazing Star mount you're using with the DA60? 4. What size fuel tanks are you using? I see two. You runnig smoke? Thanks!

    30cc and 60cc airframes

That's another concern of mine. I'm affraid that if I spend the money on a 40cc twin for the 74" Edge and get it back in the air I will regret it and wish I just went straight to the 60cc. What engine mount are you using for the DA60? Does that give you the proper spinner clearance? Love...
