    74" Edge 540

The mufflers look tappered on one side.

10-4. I just haven't had the time to test fit the mufflers and check the cowl clearance. I'm sure it will be all good! Just an observation between the manual and the actual mufflers that's all.

    74" Edge 540

Yeah I understand your concern. Your mufflers look good. I just wish VVRC would offer them in this config. Between the manual and what I got was something I just noticed. It wouldn't caused me any concern until you posted the pic's of the muffler hitting the cowl.

Can someone explain this? This is the manual I got with my VVRC 40cc Twin. Look at the mufflers and look at what I recieved? What is the discrepency?

Keep us in the loop on the angled muffer mod. Hopefully if VVRC can get the MFG to put an angle on the mufflers maybe then they can offer an exchange program for a set of the angled version. Does the orientation of how the muffers are mounted determine if they are going to hit the cowl up...

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Would using a 24x9 or 24x10 depend on if you're running a DA-60 or DA-70? I bought a Falcon 24x10 to use with my DA70/CARF 2.3m build but if I get another 60cc size airframe and run a DA60 or DLE-61 would I use a 24x9 size prop? Is there a prop guide somewhere I could reference? Still...

    74" Edge 540

What size fuel tank do I need for the 74" Edge? 8oz or 16oz? I had a Fourtitude tank but I don't know what size it was and I need another one. Thanks!

    74" Edge 540

Good idea using the 1/8 ply to check the gap. From the angle in the pic you posted that looks close but if you're going to add a sheet of balsa to the motorbox I would add one washer instead. As soon as you mount the engine and torque down the mounts, the mounts are going to compress into the...

    74" Edge 540

I added three washers to each spacer then used longer M5x40mm hex head screws to bolt up the engine. I starteded out using only two washers then test fitted the cowl and checked with the spinner backplate for the gap. Three washers seemed to be what worked for me. If you have a extra spinner...

    74" Edge 540

Have you checked the spinner gap after you installed the twin? I can't tell if you added any extra washers like I did to the already included spacers. If the mufflers hit the cowl then that's going to be a game changer for me. I would cut the cowl before cutting material away from the...

    74" Edge 540

I bought the 74" Edge used and the fuel dot was already installed. I guess it's a JEModel fuel dot. You can get them here also. Thanks!

Yeah I haven't tried fitting the exhaust yet. Not sure if I'll have to do the same thing.

    74" Edge 540

I just bolted up my 40cc twin last night but I had to add 3 washers to get the correct spinner gap. No I need to figure out were I'm going to bolt the throttle servo. I ordered some JTec servo boxes. Debating on cutting a hole in the bottom of the motorbox and mounting the throttle servo on...

    78'' Extra

Not sure what size you need since I won't have my VVRC 40cc twin until Monday so I could check then. I have some M5x60mm Socket Head Cap Screws and M5x70mm Socket Head Cap Screws that I could check to see if they fit. I needed to order these for a carbon spinner I had for my DLE30. Not sure...

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Awesome! That is how I was expecting to see it. Only question is on the top of the rudder is the wire bent at a 90 degree then recessed in the top of the rudder or bent 90 then another 90 with the point of the wire going down into the top of the rudder? One other question...are you the one...

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Yeah I have a few sets of those to use. Can someone post a pic of their rudder installation and how the rudder pin is kept in place? Would really appreciate it. Thanks!

    3dhs 92" edge 540 !!!

Off topic but can someone post what the setup is for the removabole rudder? I know what hinges are need but I need to know how the wire is installed and retained once installed. I want to do this same method for a removable rudder on another airframe but need a little insite on how its done...

    74" Edge 540

Or the smart-fly optical kill. I think the key with the kill switch is with the optical kill that filters the freq from the Rx to the ignition right? That's what you want. No feedback voltage from the igintion to the rx seperating the two different electrical paths so that you don't get a...
