Lee. I am the one that set it up on a 3 position switch in the sway you describe. Down is low rate. Middle is off. Up is high rate. Both the low rate and the high rate is in NORMAL MODE, not heeding Hold Mode. The hold mode is kind of cool, and I could see using it to land a slope glider on...

I think you will have a chance real soon! Meanwhile I just shoved 5 packs through my 64". Man what fun ;)

    60" Laser-EXP

Funny... I wonder what would happen if Chris could afford to give away a 60" to one or two members of every club in the world. Talk about creating your own market share!

Fast3D, what ESC/ BEC were you using when you crashed your MXS? What servos? My guess is that during the full throttle blender the BEC may have been over taxed by all the servos going to max all at once and then having all that air pushing on the servos. The amps coming through the BEC would...

    60" Laser-EXP

I see. Thx. I ended up gluing a small flat table to the existing "table". So I was able to mount the Cortex where you did, and then the RX directly behind it. Yours seems simpler...

Ohio, I am not sure what video you are referring to, but it sounds like the video is demonstrating the "Hold Mode" feature. This feature will allow you to hover basically hands free. In my mind that is no more useful than a parlor trick. I use the Cortex in "Normal Mode". Instead of causing...

Bryan, Where do you have the RX mounted?

Fast3D I see you own an EF MXS. My first 60" was an EF Edge. That thing is SOOOO stable and easy to learn 3D on! When I got the MXS it frankly was a handful for me. While doing 3D it has the ability to capitalize on small pilot error in a BIG way. I was often having the snort scared out...

If this is what people think the Cortex is for, they are missing the point. Come on over to the New Thread Gyro posted to learn more :)

I love mine! I've yet to sell one to an unhappy customer!

    60" Laser-EXP

I am confused. If you don't know how to do rollers the Cortex certainly won't do it for you. Are you suggesting that the cortex will manage the rudder inputs for you? It does not do that. You still have to fly it the whole way through. Yes, it is true that the Cortex makes some maneuvers...

Don't gorget, one of the great things about the Cortex is that you can fly in 15 MPH winds and still have a blast without having to fight the wind so much.

I submit that your skills will increase with the gyro. Once you turn it off you will notice you are better, not worse. At least that is how it is for me. One thing the gyro has helped with is that I over control a lot less now either with or without the gyo.

    60" Laser-EXP

Yes, people are using them in very large 50cc planes
