Yes most run 6s. There are those that run 5s, but usually I would THINK that if your gonna run 5S then you would want a motor that has a higher KV. But I would imagine that if you put a big ole 17" prop on there is would haul around pretty good if it got up to 1800 watts or so...

Not ideal. Power would likely be anemic. We run the Torque 500KV on 6s. Just looked at specs. It may work. Seems to be a bit larger than the Torque?

Daren, I REALLY ENJOYED our afternoon together. It's great how people who have never met before can just show up behind a school and have a grand time flying and talking;) Anyone else that makes it to the Myrtle Beach area are welcome to give me a shout!

Install the gyro and initialize it. Be sure that you have dual rates set up so that when you initialize it the servos are moving to the maximum position they will ever move while in flight. Check to make sure axis is responding properly ie if you roll plane left, the servos automatically deploy...

What motor are you using? That prop is too much for the Torque and you ARE risking the motor and power system if you run that prop with the Torque (Per Chris Hinson).

I just used a 16x8 falcon on my MXS at SEFF. Worked fine. 73Amps at something like 1700 watts static on my Motrofly 480KV Probably too much for the Torque with 500 KV

I lost my EF 60" Edge the same way. Was doing a high altitude KE just pretty as a picture. The football stadium lights at the top of the pole just jumped right out dead center of my flight path. The Gall!

Here is a list of my entire line. YJs are my brand. Sky Lipos are not Gens Ace. Chris Jewett, Chris Hinson, Jeff Williams (All from Extreme Flight) are using them with good success. Gyro has used one himself, you can ask him what he thinks. Yellow Jackets also come with 6 month guarantee...

The answer to that depends on several things. First is YOUR flying style. Second (and this is very important to understand), is the brand you are buying. C rating is NOT a standardized rating like Horse Power. Yes, the Lipo manufacturers would like you to think it is, but it is not. C...
