    48" Extra 300 EXP

Yes I want to see how it turns out! Definitely want to see what the other guys say about the power system (I still strongly say go with the Motrolfly no matter what)! Right now I am flying a 60" EF YakEXP and an EF MXS EXP. I use the Cortex in both of them. I really love the Cortex. For 3D...

    48" Extra 300 EXP

Well the 70" is gonna be 5" wider and a pound heavier (likely). I'd be thinking 8s. Then again, maybe Aerobeez flew it on 6s cause they know it can't take the extra weight and still perform 3D well. Choices, Choices....

Actually the old version of the EF 78 was lacking grader control. It has now bee updated with larger rudder and large elevator! I have never heard anyone talk about lack of power.... I think 12s would simply not work for 3D. The prop diameter would need to be way too small. My knee jerk is 8s...

Looking at the vids.... It sure looks to be a better 3D performer than the 70" EF Extra. Too bad that don't give you much in the way of rudder control LOL. Holly Crud that thing us huge!

Choices Choices!!!! That reminds me on an NPR program I heard recently. Psychologists have been studying the role of choice in the retail market (everything from shoes, to cars, to cheeseburgers). Of course consumers seem to demand lots of choice right? The funny thing is that studies show...

With all the EF planes to chose from, why would you want to go elsewhere? I mean, there are so many awesome EF planes available and they are all packed with PROVEN awesomeness!

    48" Extra 300 EXP

Why are you flying a 60" EF plane on a 5000 mAh 6s lipo? That's certainly a lot heavier than it was designed for. Of course it can take the weight. If all your doing is sport flying then it is probably awesome. But if your trying to do anything like 3D your working too hard.

    48" Extra 300 EXP

Just trying to be helpful. I don't know your experience. It is not good to run your lipos down to "low Voltage cutoff". You should use a timer or telemetry to land with your lipos no lower than 3.75 volts per cell. Anything lower than that and your lipos will not last long. Again, I am just...

How was your gig? Didn't you got to Africa or some such place? I recommend you use the funds for that MXS to get an EF 60" Edge 540T. That is the most stable 3D plane I have ever flown. I mean it pretty much harriers itself. And if you set it up with triple rates you can have one of the...

I agree with you both. I don't fly at Nall. Too many people. SEFF used to be a blast with the two major venders there. We all had great time and there was PLENTY of time and room for us common folk to fly. But without them there, I am afraid the 3D flight line will be fairly desolate. A lot...
