Hitec HS-7245MH Hi-Voltage "Hi-Torque" Metal Gear Digital Mini Servo [HRC37245S]

the savox minis do not have as much torque as the 7245's. i have not been able to find an equivalent that is any cheaper. only thing that is comparable that i have found through a ton of research are the bk/rjx servos from heli direct, but those are pricey

12S power systems ideas and options

from what i remember ken does not recommend using over a 20" prop on the 5320. if you want to spin that large of a prop, he has recommended (or at least to me and others) to go with the 4330. really not much if any of a weight difference between the two

    3DHS 70" Velox

i did the same thing on my velox. had to leave the spinner off that i had for it with how off my drilling was.

12S power systems ideas and options

you would put the same motor in a 78" plane as i would in a 92" plane. i think that is weight that is in excess of what i would make for a setup. i understand p=v*i, but that is only ideal and whenever people go up in cell count they tend to go up in power. like i said, to each his own. im not...

12S power systems ideas and options

i guess i just have a different view on power setups, not that its an issue. im not just about watts per pound, i also like an airframe to be light for its size. you add watts, you also add weight, and ive found that i like lighter planes. its not marginal power, its adequate power. it doesnt...

12S power systems ideas and options

everyones talking about putting the motor in a 27%er...if its as much power as manta talks about on a 30%er, that would be nuts. im always looking for a ken alternative for a 50ccer, especially since i just got the q80 for my 87 because it was the best option out there. may have to get another...

    72" Extra 330SC

everyone should fly what they like, and they do. for me its electric, regardless of size. but i know just as many people who prefer gas on any size they can. 6 one way half dozen the other
  16. rcbirk21

    3DHS 70" Velox

i put that motor on the 60e beast. i just flat out dont like it. i am running it with the talon 90, and i dont know if it is the talon or the motor (very much leaning towards the motor) but i would definitely go motrolfly (4320 is great, thats what i have on mine)

    72" Extra 330SC

yeah, i have yet to meet anyone (that i remember haha) that has said they have flown both in this size and like gas better. well, maybe bivens, but with the amount he flies and his experience with gas, when he gets to the field, i can understand why he likes gas haha
  18. rcbirk21

    72" Extra 330SC

not saying gas isnt fine, but its hard to know if you havnt flown something electric in this size. i highly encourage you to try to get some flights on one, if for nothing else then being able to know the difference. im more than willing to go with the quality over quantity when it comes to...

    72" Extra 330SC

it was just a feel. i know power is power, but it felt smoother, more locked in, it slowed down better, just felt like a better plane
  20. rcbirk21

    72" Extra 330SC

im partial, but i flew my dads on gas, and mine on electric. whole different plane, and i much prefer it electric. im sure others have vastly different experiences
