    I agree. It is a cool motor for sure. Smooth, low weight, great throttle response and power curve, inexpensive, reliable. Almost sounds too good to be true!

    Check out Enterprise's thread for sure. His 10cc gas Sabre worked OK. It flew pretty much like a glow plane. I think that the 15cc project will be much more successful. You need to be careful comparing weights here. The Evolution 15 bare motor is 21.4 oz, ignition is 3.5, and muffler is 6.1...

    Probably. We have a pretty small sample size on the 40 twin so far though...the one I have seen has been fantastic but it's just one. Hopefully they are all as good as Matt's! The issues with the DLE 35 are pretty well known so you can hopefully avoid them with a little prevention.

    One indication that break in has neared completion is when the engine stops spitting black crap out of the exhaust when properly tuned, which is normally aluminum debris from the engine wearing in. The motor runs great though, I think the ring, reeds, and sealing made a difference.

    The battery may wind up forward or back of the aileron servo depending on the amount of glue you used and a few other factors. It is not important where it ends up, but it is important that the plane flies right. Trim the plane for level flight upright at about 2/3 throttle. Then flip it...

    The MXS has an insane amount of rudder authority at full throw can cause it to go through some pitch changes during really hard rudder movements. However, if you are getting these in a KE loop or something you probably have too much throw. Save the insane rudder rate for tumbles and flat spins...
