Funny thing is I have intentionally drilled my thumb nail before with a drill press. When I was first out of high school I was working as a helper framing houses. Smacked my thumb with the hammer. Fought the pain and swelling all day. Got home and my dad said you need to drill a hole through the nail to let the pressure out. 1/16" drill bit and sitting at the drill press for 15 minutes working up the nerve to do it I had a hole in my nail and a small volcano of blood. Pain was instantly gone as well. Also heard it works to heat up a sewing neadle and melting through the nail.

Your a lucky guy. I've always used the hot sewing needle myself. A friend of my dad tried the drill press trick and it poked through, caught and went to the bone! [emoji37]

Lol I was worried about that but with a 1/16" bit it would be difficult for it to grab. I also had the depth stop set on it so if it did grab it still barely would have gone through the nail.

I just use a pin vise or an Xacto. That way I can take it nice and slow.

Well the fuse is done I believe that everything is installed tubes blind nuts and all the hardware for the tail wheel. Weighed plane and came out to 2 lbs 15 oz to 3 lbs. the scale was bouncing between the two numbers so let's say 3 lbs. That is very light for a fuse this size. The weight of the fuse is as shown in the picture.
@RJ 706 you bought you wheels from White Rose. I am in the market for a set of wheels. There is Air Man wheels and White Rose wheels I believe that they are both excellent wheels but which one do you prefer and why. Thanks.

Enjoyed working last night and was pumped to go fly today. My friend and mentor that was an early arrival at the field needed a part so I volunteered to hit the LHS on my way. Grabbed the part and headed for the field. After the third round of sleet we bagged flying and grilled some tube steaks and enjoyed each other's company, so back in the garage tonight to cycle batts and hope for better luck tomorrow.
Flying is great, but your flying buddies are better. Now back to the discharging

Looks great!!:way_to_go: I have been real busy with work, and haven't had much time to work on mine. I did manage get the cowl mounted.
