Why can't you mount it behind the firewall? I don't believe I've seen operating temperatures for the Rcexl ignition but others do have restrictions. The bottom line is heat and electronics don't mix well. Since the module is in direct contact with shield it like it's not shielded at all.

I did find a reference stating the twin ignition range is -40C to 60C. So 140F is the limit. I would say if it is in an area where there is air flow you would be OK, if in stagnate area you might be in trouble.
