Motor installed and spaced to the cowl. The cowl baffling for the top half is done just waiting for ESC. Then the baffling will be done for the motor and ESC on the bottom half.

Was having a heck of a time trying to replace my spot on RC tires that were worn out. I tried soap and soaking in hot water but it only make the tire softer and the sharp rim was cutting into the tire.
Asked a social media platform and got answers like “Vaseline, soap, soak in hot water, just force it on, use screw drivers, silicone spray, glue, and someone saying they broke two tires trying to force them on” so I thought of a better way. I’ve used tapered shafts to install o-rings on before and thought... why not? So I whistled one up in CAD last night printed it while I slept, woke up this morning and presto!!! Works great!!!

That is exactly how we use to mount our 1/8 gas road cars we could never get them on no mater what if we did not use a cone.

Well while waiting for the postman to deliver my stuff I made a few servo lockdown plates. Never needed them until I bought MKS servos their rubber grommets are useless. The only way I could fix the problem was to use the lockdown plates on the servos. Made a big difference and have been making them and using them on anything bigger than 300oz-inch servos. Just had to start making them very difficult to find and buy.

I'm working on a version two right now. Small tweaks.

In this pic you can see what I basically drew up. Small dimensional tweaks and large blends (bridging). I can make a schematic of the needed dimensions and draw one up. This takes 5 hours to print with 15% infill 0.2 layer height (rough).

They really looks good, and it will take almost no effort to replace a tire, and you will not ruin the new tire. Nice job. Really like the bright, smooth and shiny colour on the surface that will make easier to slide down it onto the rim.
Just a thought could you not make the cone half the height.

Thanks. My wife of all people bought me the shiny orange filament all by herself as a Christmas present for me. Pretty pleased with how it prints and turns out.
Could make one smaller. Never done this before so I started with an easy/long transition. The first 20mm is pretty much flat just to slip the tire on the tool part way, then created a gentle and curved taper onto the rim. It works it's way on quite easily while pushing one side down at a time. I was afraid it would bunch up a bit and crease if the taper was aggressive. It works so well, I don't see why I couldn't make a smaller one.
V2 fits on without sanding/filing, I may shrink the rim notch a tiny bit or taper it. I like how it just snaps on there right now though. I put some lettering on it to Identify it, but it's a bit small... so might make that bigger and see If I can cure them... Seems like this tool has created some interest after posting in on social media... Might need to make a few more designs for the other sizes If I can have people send me dimensions.
