Jet white Monokote and vinyl graphics. Built 2005-2006, needs recovered. Need to get 2 25' rolls of Jet white while it is still available.
I have not used much monocote but the last time I needed a particular colour my LHS said he could not get any monocote but was sure if it is still available. I liked to use monocote over Ultracote for stripping or something like that.

It is starting to look like a plane again, all the bulkheads are in and glued. Now just have wait 6 hours for the epoxy to cure. Little more time and weight but I will feel a hole lot better CA just plays havoc with me.
Plan to do some cross bracing and a few gussets, cleanup and plan the canopy.

According to Horizon Hobbies web site it should be back in stock this month. Getting rid of Monokote is like throwing the baby out with the bath water IMO. I signed up for restock notification. I have a 25' roll that I need to repair my One design that some how got a foot through the fuselage last year. Maybe when the Champ is finished.

Ok started on the cowl this I believe is going to test me . Made some of the bends a little to tight and curve around the bottom a little to sharp. The next cowl I will keep that in mind when making the drawings. We just keep learning the hard way. Did it this way so that I can cover it with Ultracote. No colour matching????

Halfway done look at the picture if anyone has ever done planking and look at this they know this was time consuming and difficult. But some sanding and little body filler and I think it will be a decent cowl.
Learnt one more thing for the next cowl the support rings on the inside need to spaced closer together no more than 3/4 of an inch to get a nice radius. Next time. This cowl should have had three spacers on the inside instead of one.
