I like 'em "BIG"!
Tonight is the night. With the construction complete and really nothing left to do, I am going to attempt starting the covering. I will, (due to time constraints) start with the elevators, rudder and interplane struts before moving on to the wings and the fuse. I expect this process to go much, "MUCH" smoother than the actual building. LOL.... Photos to come soon.

Well here is the deal with total scale with this plane. It already is an overweight tank for a 50cc plane as it is. If I were to cover it with solartex or cloth then paint it, It probably would not be able to fly. LOL..... I really am not building this strictly for aerobatics. Mostly just to do something different. But then again, if it will hang on the prop and harrier, and knife edge spin???? All the better.

Just one photo everyone. As you all remember, I went with the Orange instead of the original Red. And Pearl Purple to replace the original Blue. Rudder, elevators and interplane struts covered. I almost started on the bottoms of the lower wing sections but decided I would wait until tomorrow. So....more yet to come.

With my kids doing their thing with their other family members today, I was blessed with a little time to do a little more covering on the Pitts. I am really taking my time with the Pitts as I want to make sure I get it right....the "FIRST" time. LOL.

Here are a few more photos of the stabs, fin and bottom of the lower wings. Not much really done, but hey.... about six hours of covering. Ugh.... Hee hee

I am going to wait to put any trim around the leading edges of all the surfaces until after the entire plane is covered. I need to get my art supplies and tools out so I can start drawing up the trim templates. I will transfer the drawings to my fiberboard and duplicate the trim as I did with the big Yak when I recovered it the second time.

More still to come, I will post more as I proceed.

Hoping everyone had a wonderful, warm and blessed Christmas.
