Scale Stuka Ju87 100in wingspan

Discussion in 'Giant / Scale Scratch and Kit Build Threads' started by Blazing Wings, Oct 8, 2020.

  1. Horizontal Stabilizer glued into place. Worked on some other details as well. Everything is built, just detailing left and assembly before priming. I might add some scale details if time allows for it.

  2. Working on the under carriage.

  7. Agreed, very nice. By the way what is that black wing leaning against the wall? Looks stealth?

How do you gel coat after the wing comes out of the mould. I thought you had to gel coat the mould first and then layup the glass and epoxy over the gel coat into the mould
  9. The wing in the back is a German Horten WW2 in 1/4 scale, 165in wingspan.

  10. You are right, normally I always Gelcoat inside the mold, like with my P40 or Mig3.
However, I did not make molds for the Stuka. But it is not a problem to Gelcoat after the wing has been built.
