A "T" pin and a little white glue does a pretty nice job, a lot less messy around.View attachment 124293

I’m see about a 1/3 of the tape is the stitch width. I’ll give that a try with 3/4 tape.

The stitch should be as wide as the rib, cut the "T" down to 1/4"

Agree on stitch strip width equaling rib. Still on the thread idea.

Back when I built the Pitts I went and learned the rib stitching process. I did that on the Pitts wings, and the stitch completely disappeared, like there was none there. Removed the covering and did it again with the fishing line method, worked perfectly. Have used fishing line ever since.
